| Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island have average high temperatures ranging from the low 60's in the winter to the upper 80's in the summer. Average lows range from upper 30's to the low 70's. Climate is moderated by the warming effect of the ocean and the proximity of the Gulf Stream in the winter, and the cooling effect of the sea breezes in the summer. Annual rainfall in the Charleston area averages 42 inches. |
